Visit some of the world's richest environments
and meet the animals that live there.
When you visit Shedd, you can experience environments around the world.
See Caribbean coral reefs,
Amazon and
Pacific rocky coasts. Our exhibits take
you closer to nature in some of the world's richest ecosystems.
In nature, no animal lives in isolation.
All animals and plants live within complex, connected systems. They are dependent
on one another and the conditions of their environments for food, shelter and
survival. An animal's environment consists of many interconnected living and
nonliving parts. People are the only animals able to conserve these habitats.
That makes us integral too.
As you explore environments on your Shedd
visit, look for connections among animals, plants and people all over the
world.
