From pandas with personality to toddlers in tiaras, here are our team’s favorite costumes:
Alena Tsimis| Chief Innovation Officer, Panda
Halloween has always been a fun holiday for me, and since my son Evan came into the picture it’s been even more exciting—even though he’s still getting used to the idea of costumes.
Kristi Bishop | Marketing Manager, Toddlers in Tiaras Grand Supreme
I always love getting creative on a budget for Halloween. So when I found a $2 pink dress at a thrift store, I decided to turn it into my costume: Toddlers in Tiaras Grand Supreme. As long as I can remember I have always made my costume—from the paper mache parrot for my pirate costume when I was 7, this costume years later.
Olga Weiss | Creative Director, Ninja
Instead of sharing myself in costume, I wanted to share my son Max in his white ninja costume. When you have a kid, Halloween becomes the most important holiday! It took him a long time to decide between the ninja and a minion, but he’s so happy with his decision.
Erin Walgamuth | Communications Manager, Up! House
One year I dressed up as the house from Disney’s Up! The best part was that it was a last-minute costume I started making the night before Halloween. I think it may have been the moment I realized that I thrive when under pressure.
Akiko Slaughter | Graphic Designer, Christmas Tree
Like a lot of the team, I love Halloween because it’s a great excuse to get creative and make my own costume! If I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the year I dressed up as a Christmas tree. I got to celebrate my two favorite holidays at once!
Jamie Kennedy | Director of Social Media, College Football Player
One year a good friend of mine was visiting from Cleveland. We wanted to be something funny and comfortable, so we found oversized jerseys and cheap ‘bling’, and went as college football players. We both love sports and because my friend hates being the center of attention we kept our look toned down. In every aspect of life I always want to try to make others more comfortable and calm in their surroundings.
Eleni Kripintiris | Production Manager, Catwoman
I decided to dress up as Catwoman one year. Julie Newmar, the original and best Catwoman, inspired my costume because she was unspeakably glamorous.
Michael Pascual | Graphic Designer, The Mad Hatter
Last year I did a group costume with some close friends. I was the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Our costumes were made the day of Halloween and the entire process was really fun. The group consists of the Hatter, Alice, the Queen of Hearts, and the White Rabbit. This is the first time I made my own Halloween costume and I think it turned out very well.
Chloe Bloedt | Brand Ambassador, LoveLine
Halloween costume shopping for me is always a last minute adventure. One year I went exploring Hollywood thrift shops with my brother. He tried to impress the ladies as Clark Kent, so I decided my costume should poke fun at his mission. Thus, I became the “loveline.” Since I consider myself a people person, picking up on emotional connections has always been my calling.
