MARKETING TO MILLENNIALS SHARE+

With the holiday shopping season around the corner, it's no secret that consumers in their 20s will be a primary target for retailers this year. But unlike previous generations, marketers will no longer be able to use a one-size-fits-all strategy to ring holiday registers.

Defined as Millennials, this newest generation of consumers deems itself tech-crazy and success-driven. As the largest, most influential group of new consumers, Millennials are destined to serve as prime catalysts for change in the economic marketplace.

As this generation enters the marketplace, they quickly mutate into a complex (and often paradoxical) consumer base. Marketing to this generation is no longer simple; as they grow and change, so do the rules that determine how to best harness this group's collective purchasing power.

IIS CREATIVE DIRECTOR JUDGES ADDY AWARDS 2011 SHARE+
W3 Awards A few years ago, I was invited to judge ADDY Awards, the world's largest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards is unique among other advertising creative competitions in that it is the only competition that includes three levels of judging: local, regional, and national.

My latest trip to judge Nebraska ADDY was a great experience. Our hosts in Omaha were wonderful; they were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Even more importantly, the awards themselves were incredible as they featured thousands of entries from different agencies representing a variety of industries and a significant amount of outstanding print pieces and campaigns.

IIS LENDS A HELPING HAND SHARE+
W3 Awards
"We cannot all see alike, but we can all do good."

This holiday season, I Imagine Studio is taking these words to heart and lending a helping hand to friends in need. Specifically, we at I Imagine have decided to support our new friend Jason, a 24-year old man who, throughout his life, has struggled with autism.

Jason is a member of The Center for Enriched Living, a non-profit organization that seeks to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities. The Center for Enriched Living emphasizes the achievement of social and personal well being of its members by enabling them to cultivate meaningful friendships and develop necessary life skills so that each may fully participate in his or her surrounding community. The center supports more than 450 youths and adults in the Chicago area-including Jason-in an effort to help them move from societal isolation to complete inclusion.
