MOVING IN AND MOVING ON

After nearly seven years in business, it's time for a change. And, I Imagine Studio is making one by moving our Chicago-area headquarters to new offices. Our new home is located in a place called "One Rotary Center," such named because the building serves as the worldwide headquarters for Rotary International, a humanitarian service organization with more than 1.2 million members. While this worthy organization is not a client, nor are we connected with them in any way, we share their goal of making the world a better place and we know that we will find inspiration in their international outlook. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by to say hello.

Our new address is
1560 Sherman Avenue, Suite 306
Evanston, Illinois 60201

Please note our new phone number is 847. 491.0308

MICROTARGETING CAMPAIGN FOR DISH NETWORK

You might know us as I Imagine Studio, but you might not know that we also have an ethnic marketing division dedicated to reaching Eastern Europeans, a market that is expected to wield more than $2 trillion in purchasing power by the year 2015. Called EuroMarketing USA, we opened this division of our company four years ago and it has successfully helped market products to Eastern European and Middle Eastern communities living in the United States, as well as market American products overseas such as www.infiniti.ru.

As we all know from the history of targeting African-American, Hispanic, and Asian-American markets, successful advertising for ethnic media must go beyond linguistic translation of content; rather, it requires tremendous cultural insight to translate the meaning of your message. Our professional experience and personal history, have helped us understand the various cultural reactions within the many Eastern European communities and how marketing materials are received. We draw on this knowledge throughout the planning, creation, and implementation of marketing initiatives.

The brands this division represents include such established market leaders as The Dish Network, Infinity, and Lifeway Foods, as well as more than fifteen other brands. A recent project we completed for Dish Network shows the success we can help you achieve. Asked to help launch Ukrainian, Israeli and EuroNews channels in the United States, EuroMarketing USA created a totally integrated campaign that was not only consistent with the Dish Network Brand, it was consistent with the brands of the TV channels and the cultural needs and desires of the various target audiences.

Check out the creative for the Dish Network campaign here in this newsletter then check out whether EuroMarketing USA can help further your brand with this vibrant, disparate market. Simply contact us today to explore how we could help.

PROUD TO BE KEEPING BUSY, THE I IMAGINE WAY

In advertising and marketing, there tends to be two work modes: very slow or very busy. When people don't know your work or when you don't have a recognized track record of success, it tends to be slow. When people want part of your magic, it's the opposite. We're proud to report that your friends here at I Imagine Studio continue to be very busy. Our recent projects include:

Strategic Positioning
- In our last newsletter, we mentioned that we had just completed a project to improve the way the story of a 100 year-old company is told. And now we are doing the same for a company that is not quite as old: Lamin-Art - an industry trendsetter in high pressure laminates and veneers. Through focus group research and detailed interviews with customers, discovery sessions with key personnel, and a detailed competitive analysis, we helped the client refine their positioning to better enable them to communicate their capabilities and differentiate them from competition.

Creative development - We all know that education in America is not where it should be. (In fact, America is ranked last among the 10 leading industrialized nations in our students' knowledge of world geography, history, and current events.) But now the Meritas Family of Schools is trying to do something about it and I Imagine is proud to help. We developed a "futuristic" brochure (view PDF) and motion graphics presentation for them that outlined the issues, explained the solutions, and invited concerned parents to "think" about the future while educating readers about the school. We hope that it will help change future conversation on education in America.

On another note, how do you whet the appetite for an upscale Japanese-style Pub? That was the question put to us by the Innovative Dining Group in California. We found the answer by evoking the spirit on the new restaurant's website through movement, sound, and dark, yet lush, ambient photography. Check out the website robatabar.com and be sure to check out the restaurant, Robata Bar, the next time you're in Santa Monica.

Of course, we at I Imagine have recently completed a bunch of additional projects for our clients. Due to confidentiality concerns, we can't speak about them right now. However, if and when we can, you will be the first to know.

SURVEY SAYS…

A recent survey conducted by our friends at MarketingSherpa suggests that SEO, SEM, and the means of measuring each will continue to play an important role in the marketing mix for 2008.

Here's the skinny:

SEO (Search Engine Optimizations)
Research indicates 57% of marketers surveyed are placing a priority on SEO within marketing budgets. This is likely due to the low cost of SEO implementation and its relatively high return on investment.

SEM (Search Engine Marketing)
The ever-evolving prospects of online advertising are leading to more spending on Pay Per Click campaigns and broader investment in highly targeted ad placement. The increasing opportunities to reach specific audiences through tactics such as Geo Targeting and Behavioral Targeting are allowing advertisers to deliver highly customized messaging on behalf of their clients.

Metrics
The means to measure SEO and SEM have evolved into clear-cut categorical measurements. The accessibility and accuracy of performance metrics are helping to bring Online campaigns full circle by offering an analytical component to measuring ROI. Over 60% of those surveyed plan to allocate marketing dollars to search measurement, landing page tests, online and offline tracking integration, and web analytics.
