BRINGING PEARLESCENCE FINISHES TO LIFE

VIEW AD

Last year we helped Lamin-Art celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of its best known product lines, the Pearlescence Solid Colors Collection, via an integrated marketing campaign, which was later recognized with W3 and Summit International Emerging Media Awards.

As Lamin-Art is preparing for the release of two additional Pearlescence finishes, we were charged with developing a new print ad concept targeting Lamin-Art’s two primary audiences – designers and architects, and fabricators.

Take a look at the finished ad on the left. The stunning imagery and minimalistic copy bring forth the beauty of the finish, enabling the readers to truly experience it.

TAKING GLAMOUR TO THE WEB

The long-anticipated W Hollywood hotel finally opened its doors and with it, its resident restaurant, Delphine, and two lounges, Station Hollywood and the Living Room.

We designed and developed Web sites for Delphine, a French brasserie, and Station Hollywood, a split-level outdoor bar, to support the opening day and provide their guests with a virtual preview of the new hotspots.

A motion graphics presentation, featuring black and white lifestyle shots of the French Riviera, immediately immerses Delphine’s site visitors into the ambiance of Cannes circa 1940s-50s. Uber-modern and glamorous, the look and feel of the Station Hollywood site could not have been more different; contemporary music, bold red on black design, and footage of beautiful people enjoying the cocktail hour outdoors, seductively attract the site’s visitors to experience Station Hollywood for themselves.

2010 CENSUS TO BRING NEW DEMOGRAPHIC INSIGHTS

Minority populations are growing and with it, their purchasing power:

  • African and Hispanic American populations are expected to have risen 14% each since 2000.
  • African American population growth is paralleled by the increase in their buying power, up 55% to $913 billion from 2000-2008. By 2013, that number is expected to rise to $1.24 trillion.
  • As the Hispanic population is shifting from first-generation to second-generation, bilingual bicultural consumers, its discretionary spending is rising as well. In 2009, the group’s annual discretionary income equaled $863 billion, with many contending that this number is immensely underestimated

The Minority group’s influence in the marketplace will be a game-changer for most organizations as reaching out to and attracting Hispanic and African American audiences become a significant survival strategy for many.

CHICAGO CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

This March 8th, which commemorates the coordinated efforts by women all over the world for women’s rights, we attended the 9th Annual Chicago Women’s Day celebration. The event featured a presentation by Maryn Mckenna, author of Superbug: The Fatal Menace of MRSA, who discussed women’s role in the battle against MRSA, which kills 19,000 Americans every year. For more information on MRSA and tips on its prevention, check out http://mrsastaph.net/
